Today was a very big travelling day with about 5 hrs of bus-ing. We firstly went up the the Castle on Bratislava for a photo opportunity, then boarded the bus for the 2.5 hr trip to Brno.
On the way we stop at the Czech border and were waved through pretty quickly. The tour guide took us on a walk to the town square in Brno (pronounced Bruno), and then left us to our own devices for an hour and three quarters to walk around and get some lunch. We found what we thought was a cafe and ordered some drinks, then found out it was a bar, so then left there and went in search of food.

This city is not a tourist mecca at all, so we found it hard trying to find somewhere to have lunch where we could read the signs. Eventually, as we were running out of time we settled on McDonalds, then returned to the bus. Another 2.5 hrs and we arrived in Prague, where I collapsed on the bed and had a kip.
After dinner at the hotel, we joined an optional tour of an illuminations tour of Prague, then boarded a boat for a cruise down the Danube, under the Charles Bridge, viewing the castle, parliament building and other lovely buildings. On our return to the hotel, a couple of us decided to take the hotel Finnicular up to the top of the hotel to see a night time view of part of Prague. This was beautiful, if not a little hazy. We have managed to keep just ahead of the rain so far, but it seems tomorrow our luck is going to change and the weather is going to turn a little chilly. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!
