Today we had a full day on the island. A tour was arranged with a local guide which took us through the Augusta gardens and then we loaded onto a small bus for the quick ride to AnaCapri - "top" Capri. Here the guide took us on a small walk through this area, finishing up at Villa san Michel - a museum which was in many years gone by was the home of a famous doctor. After this we had free time and we took the opportunity to have yet another gelati (yummm tiramisu flavor with chunks of sponge cake and chocolate). After this we walked around looking in the many, many souvenier shops. After meeting back up with our tour guide we descended to mid Capri again where the afternoon was free time for us to explore the island more. Paula Joe and I decided to stop and have some lunch in the cafe with the best view in Capri. After this Joe and I decided to take the walk to Natural arch, which was supposed to be about 25mins. This path went fairly quickly uphill, then downhill, then up again, then down 250 steps. It was worth it however with a beautiful view when we got there. The climb back was a struggle for me and I was glad to get back to the main square. We stopped for a cappacino, then wandered around looking at all the overpriced shops! We passed a hairdresser and I jumped at the chance to get my haircut. I was very happy with the outcome and told Joe that my future haircuts where going to be very expensive as I would have to come to Capri to get it done!! When I left the hairdressers it was raining, so it was a mad dash back to the hotel. Joe had a bad headache and decided to stay in for the evening, so Paula and I headed out (in the rain) for dinner. We found a small restaurant and had a fabulous meal. We returned to the hotel bar and had a hot cup of tea to try and warm us up before going to bed.

A little slice of heaven..
