ONE WORLD, TWO BIKES, THREE CONTINENTS! These are the stories of our year-long bicycle trip from August 2006 to August 2007. As schmarmy as it may sound, it really was the time of our lives. It was a year that even now, long after it ended, burns brighter in our memories than any other. We remember almost every detail of almost every day, because everything was always exciting and different and a surprise. We met wonderful people and ate some amazing food. We bicycled through beautiful mountains in the Andes, Himalayas and Alps. We camped next to lakes and rivers and on farms, sometimes with sheep, cows or yaks to greet us in the morning. And we took a phenomenal side trip on a cruise to Antarctica from the tip of South America. Of course, at times, things were also really challenging. We spent a lot of time biking in the mountains, with some long days of climbing in very cold weather at very high altitudes. We biked through some insufferably grueling hot days. We ran out of money a few times in the middle of nowhere, with no banks or ATMs around. We got food poisoning a few times. And we would beg to do it all again in a second!!!
