splat's Travels

I consider myself a traveler, I live for the next trip. However I think the worse thing I could be called is a tourist. If you don't know the difference then get off my Page and go to Yellowstone or Disneyland with the rest of the tourists. If you travel have the courtesy to at least learn the words "please" and "thank you" in the language of the people you will be visiting. Talking S L O W E R and louder only embarrasses you and gives the rest of us a bad name. Take care and good travels. P **** I am trying to compile a list of what might be considered "odd" laws,from other countries, things that a traveler from the US might not even consider as being against the law. or any customs from other countries that we wish we had a heads up about, (like... did you know that in Bulgaria they shake there heads yes and no, opposite than us, I wish somebody had told me. Or in Thailand it is a sign of disrespect to show the bottom of your feet to people etc) if you have any please email them to me.****
