Just a quick message today. Caught the Eurostar train over from London on 3rd April. Arrived in Paris and caught a taxi to the Hotel. The room was as expected - cramped but comfortable. We rugged up for a night out at the Moulin Rouge and a River Cruise on the Seine. Was freezing cold on the river, but the sights were fantastic.

The Moulin Rouge was also great - we had much better seats this time - much closer to the action. We met another Australian who has been travelling and heard about her travels in Morocco. Those girls from the Moulin Rouge put on a good show, the costumes were just fantastic.

French women don't get fat but their pidgeons certainly do!!

The next day (after a very long sleep in), Joe and I walked up the Champs Elyses, stopped and had a french pastry at a quaint patisserie. I of course had to stop and look through the Louis Vuitton store - which was very crowded and suprisingly I think the goods were cheaper than home (even with the pathetic exchange rate).  After this we continued up to the Arch de Triomphe. Usually the stairway up to the top is open till 11pm, but of course on this particular day it closed at 6:15pm, so we missed the climb and vistas from the top.

We walked back to the hotel and met up with Paula who had spent the day wondering on her own and getting chatted up by no less than 4 different french men. We all went off to the American Diner for dinner where our cokes where 7 euros each - about $12.. ouch!! Paula and I wondered around briefly afterwards and found a convenience store and bought some buscuits and water to keep away the munchies during the day.

That's all for now... three more days to go here in this lovely city..
