Hello!!!  I just got back from a weekend trip to Madrid.  We visited El Museo de la Reina Sofia with my school.  When we arrived, I was blown away by the art there.  They had three permanent exhibits with original paintings by Picasso, Salvador Dali, and many other extremely famous painters.  I wrote a list of the ones I liked for future reference.  After that we went to our hostel at Puerta del Sol, which is a very popular area.  There is this crazy thing in Spain called "rebajas".  Basically, there are never sales in Spain.  During rebajas, everything goes on super sale.  It is normal to be in between 40 and 70% off of pretty much everything.  So.....we went shopping a lot.  I didn't manage to get much other than a gift for Sarah because we were shopping with the ladies.  Friday night we went to a really fancy club called Kapital.  It was very expensive, so we were careful not to buy drinks, but the club alone was amazing.  There were 7 floors with a different atmosphere with different music on each floor.  I had a blast.  The next night we went to an Irish Pub and watched Real Madrid against Valencia and met some crazy Irishmen.  After the game we took it pretty easy.  This morning we got up early and took the Ave (super fast train) back to Toledo.  The feeling of returning to Toledo was very wierd.  It feels strange to be hopping around Europe like it's nothing.  I am beginning to feel like I can handle myself in almost any situation.  Well, I am very tired and I need a siesta.
