Soo much to see.....
From Paris, France in Paris, France on Oct 09 '06
Okay... so the first thing we did on Tuesday was to go to Eiffel Tower and take escalator up to 3rd level which is highest it will take us. Isabelle was actually more scared during the ride thinking what if this thing fails? Are we all going to be mushed? But of course we made to watch deck safely and it just simply was amazing and felt safe. =) Lyna took the picture looking down from the Eiffel tower and that freaked her out a bit but we still took stairs when we came down from the tower. And yes, we actually saw some people taking stairs going up....
Other places visited on that day are - Hotel des Invalides where Napoleon's tomb is located. It was big and huge. Really don't know what else to say.....
- Musee d'Orsay was interesting and big. We did not go to Louvre, only looked from outside. In a way I(Isabelle) am glad we did not go to Louvre because for me Musee d'Orsay was big enough and had enough trouble looking at all the paintings. This Museum does have impressive collection of Dagas.
- Basilica of Notra Dame. We did sat and participated on week mass which lasted about half an hour. Yes. yes... Isabelle is a catholic girl, not a good one but since we had the chance and timing was good, we figure we will just sit on the mass. Was hoping they play famous 2700 pipe organs for us but of course they did not. Only got to hear small one which was good in it' own way.
We finally capped our day with dinner at Japanese Restaurant. Tha'ts right!!! Japanese Restaurant in Paris.... funny.....
Wednesday was spend seperatelybecause Lyna wanted to see different museums but Isabelle wanted to visit Catacombes with all the bones stacked in artisitic(?) forms. Other parts of Paris Isabelle visited are Pantheon where famous French people are buried such as Voltair, Victor Hugo, Emile Yola, Alex Dumas as well as Marie and Pierre Currie and some famous miletary generals. Also went to Montmartes area and went to BasilicaSacre Coeur. Did not know there was an escalator and had to walk big big hill to reach the Basilica. So not happy about it.
That wrapped up isabelle's day ot explore Paris.
